Draupadi Murmu is an Indian politician who is currently serving as the Governor of Jharkhand. She was born in a small village in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha and completed her education at Utkal University in Bhubaneswar. Murmu began her career as a teacher and later served as a member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly from 1995 to 2000.
